The SANDERLING and 9 DUNLIN were still on the spit at Myers at noon after I got
back to town. Thanks, Bob!

I did not find the Orange-crowned Warbler at Freese Road (Thanks, anyway,
Ann!), but I did add a VESPER SPARROW (in the southwest corner of the gardens),
a SWAMP SPARROW (in the southeast corner of the gardens), several DARK-EYED
JUNCOS (throughout the south half of the gardens) and a WINTER(?) WREN
partially hidden low in the goldenrod south of the gardens.

I hiked to the lake today in vain hopes of adding a Vesper Sparrow, since I'd
found one at Freese and seen 3 in Spencer. I did add a LINCOLN'S SPARROW in
the northeast part of the overgrown field, northeast of the bench on the knoll.
While I was there Stuart Krasnoff called asking about some shorebirds on the
red lighthouse breakwater which he was scoping from the south side of the
marina entrace, but didn't have time to get closer. I was able to verify his
tentative ID of DUNLIN, 4 total.

Today was a ten-sparrow-plus-one-weaver-finch day for me.
