For National Wildlife Refuge Week the dike at Tschache Pool was open for a walk which Bob Guthrie and I led Sunday 10/18/09. We walked out just to the turn and this got us close enough that everyone in the group got a good look at the Eurasian Wigeon. When we returned a Bald Eagle was perched in a tree right next to the tower.
