Here are a few odds and ends from birding today.

Summerhill in the morning was pretty quiet:

Red-shouldered Hawk – 1, calling

Winter Wren – 2

Golden-crowned Kinglet – 4

Brown Creeper – 2

Red-breasted Nuthatch – 3

Yellow-rumped Warbler – 3

Vesper Sparrow – 1 probable, flew off Salt Road north of Rt. 90

Aurora Bay was filled with loons and not much else.

Common Loon – 175

Brant – 45 flying south

Green-winged Teal – 6 on northern spit at south end of the bay

American Wigeon – 1

American Black Duck – 8

Killdeer – 3

At Long Point State Park, I found two cooperative SNOW BUNTINGS on the spit,
and a flock of 15 Eastern Bluebirds at the entrance. At Myers Point there
were three DUNLIN on the spit. Hog Hole was pretty quiet early this
afternoon, although I could see a flock of BRANT near shore at Stewart Park.
At Monkey Run south I saw a HERMIT THRUSH and a Carolina Wren. George Road
had many Canada Geese, three Killdeer, and two Green-winged Teal. Dryden
Lake had only a few Ring-billed Gulls

Good birding,
