Just wanted to give everyone a "heads-up" to watch for the above birds. I am on a listserv with a Toronto group. There were a number of American Avocets seen east of Toronto at Oshawa Second Marsh yesterday. Also, someone reported an Hudsonian Gotwit at a park in Ajax which is closer to Pt. Pelee. Since shorebirds are still heading south, maybe, just maybe, we may see some. Best, Ann Mitchell Ithaca
