Hello all,
As I walked outside the house to catch the bus, I felt it was lot more
chillier than yesterday and then just looked up into the sky. About two
hundred snow geese were heading south way high. Just then my neighbor also
came out and I pointed snow geese to her. After sometime she located them
and then she asked me how could I see them. Soon we saw another three
hundred or so. This was in just a minute and a half of waiting for the bus
to arrive.
Then from the bus, I watched 3000+ snow geese and about 500+ Canada Geese.
It was so nice that I did not have to watch road.
As we were turning into the Arthropod junction, i.e
Dryden/maple/Mitchell/Cornell etc. junction a flock of about 50 flew low
over Cascadilla gorge in beautiful sunlight that made me gasp.
As I got off the bus and headed to BTI across the road, I saw another 300
flying low in beautiful sunlight. I wished I was at my office window to
view them. They would have been another 200 feet closer! From office window
while computer was booting saw another 200 at a distance.

That is a great way to start the day!

So keep your eyes peeled to the sky (i.e if you have chance, probably next
few hours I will be watching the screen of Mass spec.!)

Cheers
  meena
