I was at the Goetchius Preserve between 7 and 8 this evening. Highlights for me were two WOODCOCK and one WILSON'S SNIPE.

Dozens of ducks came flying in as the light faded. Most of them arrived after it was too dark for me to be able to identify them reliably, though I suspect that most of them were WOOD DUCKS.

There was also a flock of sixty or so TREE SWALLOWS feeding over the fields, helping to make it feel rather like a summer evening.
