I looked for the Franklin's Gull for a couple hours from the towpath on this cloudy afternoon with no luck. Then as I was leaving the sun came out so I decided to check Knox-Marcellus from East Road and found it. I first noticed it flying along with shorebirds that got up. I followed it with my scope and when it landed I could see the dark cheeks. The Little Blue Heron was at May's Point Pool this afternoon at 3:50 pm. It was straight out from the viewing platform and then it flew to the right and landed along the far edge. I did not see the Glossy Ibis today. Leona Lauster Lyons, NY --
