Hi, Dave--
The NYS DOT bought that 5-acre field and contracted with a company to put in a wetland as mitigation for some wetland the DOT was destroying (part of the rt. 17-86 conversion, possibly?).  I have seen that field covered with water, over the years.  Hope they do a good job!
