This is second-hand from a bicycling listserv.   I don't know anything more than what

Cornell Outdoor Education, League of Women Voters, Trout Unlimited, Ithaca Health Alliance and more are sponsoring  "Lessons from Pennsylvania: Impact of Marcellus Shale Gas Development on Rivers, Streams and Forests,"  a free to the public educational forum on what happens to the roads and the outdoors when there is fracking.

The Forum will be Monday, November 1, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Lansing Middle School Auditorium, Rt. 34 and Ludlowville Road, Lansing, NY.

The intended audience is outdoors people who bike, hike, hunt, fish, or otherwise use the roads and open, forested lands and who would like more information on what Marcellus-style gas drilling will bring.

Feel free to circulate this information. Please come and bring friends!
