Beloved SCREECHIE was sunning in the Factory ST. pond box today. Joining in
enjoying the sun were gadwall, redheads, Canadas & many mallards. On Mill pond
along Rte. 90 were a couple A. wigeon, & the same mix as on Factory pond but in
larger numbers, as well as 1 male & 5 or 6 buffleheads.

Way out on the ice towards Canoga we could see maybe a couple hundred big puffy
pillows that probably were tundra swans & what looked like a couple GBB gulls.

Our daughter moved 3.4 mi. out in the country from us & I think she was like
the Pied Piper .... called all our yard birds with her ... she has lots of them
& we've seen few, esp. since the bitter cold weather set in .. but mocker
continues to guard the cedar berries!
