I took a walk thru Shindagin Hollow early this morning. The grosbeak got by me; I missed it; no excuses. Otherwise, birds were what I would have expected. Only 1 WINTER WREN, however. I did find 2 unusuals: a female cardinal (I just don't find them down in there), and a YELLOW-BELLLIED SAPSUCKER still in juvenile plumage. Very late for this, and I didn't know what it was until I saw the side stripe.
