I was beginning to wonder what happened to the Great Crested Flycatchers that usually nest in my hollow apple trees. Working with the doors open today, hoping for cuckoos, I was really just as happy to finally hear that boisterous "WHREEP! WHREEP! WHREEP!" coming from the favored area down the hill.
