pm
NYSDEC Wildlife Biologist Jim Eckler is one of the most knowledgeable experts
on
American Black Ducks. Once the most abundant fresh-water duck in eastern North
America, the Black Duck has experienced population declines between the 1950s
and 1980s. Learn about what researchers and managers in the Montezuma Wetlands
Complex and throughout the Atlantic Flyway are doing to understand this decline
and reverse the trend. Free for Friends of Montezuma Members, $5/Non-member
