Here is a message from Chip Weseloh from Environment Canada about this summer's 
chick-banding and tagging.  Please post to the list if you spot any of these 
birds.

We've wing-tagged 130 young Great Egrets and 50 young GReat Blue Herons. The 
egrets have green wing tags (one on each wing); the herons have either orange 
or green tags (also, one on each wing). They all have number-number-letter 
written on the tags, e.g. 17B.
