For the second year in a row we have not lost any hatched baby birds in the nest boxes with ¼ inch wire mesh 4 inches above the bottom. Before using the wire mesh we lost many baby birds to blow flies each year. This year 17 bluebirds, 20 tree swallows and 8 chickadees fledged.
