A close-passing POMARINE JAEGER was the highlight of 4.5 hours lakewatching (from Breitbeck Park) on 15 kt SSW winds. Also, an early-arriving GREATER SCAUP plus a few Black Ducks on the move and a hard-to-find-on-Lake-Ontario NORTHERN SHOVELER. A few shorebirds on the breakwall but no Bonaparte's or other hooded gulls. Joined by Bill Purcell and Joe Brin.
