I saw the American Avocet from East Road, distant but decisive scope views, at
6:30 PM Sunday. Same area of Puddler's Marsh as he was in yesterday.
A Sandhill Crane pair were feeding on the berm not far away, and a Caspian Tern
was on the nearer marsh. The Black-crowned Night Herons at the fishing
access side of May's were in the same spots they've been seen since Labor Day
muckrace scouting - nice to have a reliable bird!
