The Nelson's Sparrow was still present in Allan Treman Marine Park this morning. I found it by following the mowed path out from the parking lot - the left-hand path that leads along the woods on the west. Once I got to the lake, I backtracked about 30m and headed directly east, high-stepping through the grass until the sparrow flushed. It flew to the ground, then slowly emerged to the top of the grass where it could look around - and be seen! Note that it was not in the goldenrod patch just to the west of the path - and not in the grass of the area known as Hog Hole.

On another note, a stop at the Aurora boathouse yesterday to scan the mirror-like lake surface yielded one Horned Grebe and two Common Loons.
