A couple of years ago, a merlin took a bluebird on the wing just east of T'Burg on Cayuga View Rd.
Also a couple of years ago, we had Rock Doves in our barn (squatting squabs?) and along came a Cooper's hawk and wiped them out over the length of a week. That is a better size comparison between predator and prey.
