Quick notes on Seneca Lake St Park for Sat AM. Bald Eagle (mature) is still hanging out across the canal from the marina, Am Wigeon, C. Goldeneye, C. Mergansers, Bufflehead, Mallards, Black Ducks all present. Couple swans too far out for an ID. No sign of the Egyptian Goose.
Sodus Pt pier (1 PM), lots and lots of Long-tailed Ducks but not much else. A few WW Scoters out past the end of the pier and a few RB Mergansers about. Only a few RB Gulls flying around. Did see the King Eider (female) near the end of the east pier, just before very dark clouds moved in about 2 PM & it started storming. -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
