*"Scavenger Hunt,"* a feature length documentary about California condor recovery and the issue of lead poisoning, will WORLD PREMIERE at the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival on March 29^th , 7pm at Cinemapolis in Ithaca, NY. Producer/Directors, Eddie Chung and Matthew Podolsky will be available for interviews March 28-31, 2012 in Ithaca, NY. ITHACA -- The producers of the feature length documentary film, /Scavenger Hunt: An Unlikely Union/ have chosen the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival in Ithaca, NY for their world premiere screening event. The film follows a group of biologists working in remote Northern Arizona as they attempt to re-introduce the endangered California condor into this desert landscape.Lead poisoning is just about the only thing holding this recovery effort back from being a complete success, and /Scavenger Hunt/ addressed this issue head-on, with interviews outlining all sides of the issue. First-time filmmaker and Ithaca College alum Matthew Podolsky produced and co-directed this film with veteran filmmaker Eddie Chung (/The Achievers: the Story of the Lebowski Fans/). Matthew graduated from Ithaca College in 2006 with a double major in Environmental Studies and Cinema/Photography and began working with California condors as a biologist in 2007.Matthew worked on the condor recovery program for nearly four years before founding his own not for profit production company and produce a film that exposes the truth behind the issue of lead poisoning in wildlife. The Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival was an easy choice for this world premiere screening because of Matthew's association with Ithaca College.Matthew was heavily influenced as a filmmaker by FLEFF screenings which he attended as a student, and the focus that FLEFF places on community development fits very well with the issues addressed in /Scavenger Hunt/.
