I stopped at Myers Pt. at 0730h and found 3 (un) Solitary Sandpipers, at least
4 Spotted Sandpipers and a Least Sandpiper. A Great Blue Heron was fishing off
the spit when I drove up. Also present were Barn, Tree, and Rough-winged
Swallows and Greater Black-backed Gulls. The far parking lot at the spit was
in bad shape earlier in the week as the lake level dropped. Today I found it
completed regravelled and the creek bank reinforced with heftier stone. Cheers
to the Town of Lansing for upkeep or the park.
