Susie & I walked along Salt Rd (Norway spruce area) this morning. Still
several dozen PINE SISKINS. Heard an E. TOWHEE. South of Rt. 90, also on
Salt Rd.. we came upon a field full of blackbirds. They covered half the
field, then flew up in an amoeba-like mass into the adjacent trees. Their
calls sounded like the roar of a swollen stream. We estimated 7000; about
98% GRACKLES.

We saw very little on George Rd. pond, but a PEREGRINE FALCON floated over.

Also in our travels we saw 2 GREAT BLUE HERONS, 2 WOODCHUCKS, and a singing
BROWN CREEPER.

At Dryden Lake, a man we met reported seeing an EAGLE and an OSPREY earlier
in the day. We saw them not.
