I just got a nice look at a very bright male PINE WARBLER singing in my yard on Yellow Barn Road, west of Dryden. I heard it sing once yesterday morning but wasn't willing to commit to the identification, not when juncos are doing all kinds of unformed trills these days. I was pretty sure of the ID, and am happy to have confirmed it with some good views this evening.
Also yesterday a WINTER WREN was singing in the valley and my landlord had an EASTERN PHOEBE on his window today. Kevin J.
