Leo Douglas, a lecturer at Columbia University, with a strong interest
in Caribbean Bird Consevation, especially in his native country of
Jamaica, will be giving the Monday Night Seminar next Monday at
7:30pm. His talk will focus on his research in the Caribbean island
of Dominica and the use of the endemic Amazona parrots as flagship
species. Dominica has two beautiful endemic parrots and I'm looking
forward to hearing about their conservation efforts how successful the
"Flagship" concept has worked.
"Flagship or Battleship? Unintended consequences of the use of an
Amazona parrot as a conservation flagship in the Caribbean" by Leo
Douglas
It'll be a great talk and I encourage everyone to attend.
Cheers,
Jeff
