A Junco banded here on 11/02/2010 was sighted near Laurelville, Ohio on 01/25/2012. The band was read through binoculars. The bird was at least 3 years old. Notestone Rd., where the bird was sighted, is a straight line distance of 380 miles SW of Kestrel Haven.
Sight encounters for such small birds and bands are extremely rare.
