An albino blackbird would be far more likely.

Subject: [cayugabirds-l] Snow Bunting?

I was on van Dyne Spoor Road today about 1 pm when I saw a mostly white bird
perched among about 1/2 dozen Redwing Blackbirds. It was on a dead snag to the
south of the sixth telephone pole after the woods. Put my binoculars on it
from and could see it was only slightly smaller than the RWBB, had black on the
back leading down along the wing. Otherwise, the bird was a slightly dull
white. Could not get a read on the beak. I suspect that it was a Snow
Bunting, but I am wary of that because of the date. Seems early. Does anyone
have access to records to address whether Snow Bunting could be down here this
early? Any other ideas on what it might be?

I was setting up my tripod and camera for photo when one of the Montezuma NWR
vehicles rolled past, spooking the birds. Remained for 1/2 hour looking for
the bird again, but did not see it.

Sure would like someone else to confirm this.
