According to the "Average Spring Arrival Dates" for Cay. L. Basin 2000-2009, that they gave us in the Spring ornithology course, Black Billed Cuckoos' date of arrival should be more around May 9 !
their data is from this list and in later years from eBird. I think I that I was hearing a black-billed cuckoo yesterday evening, in the woods behind my property (Pleasant Valley Rd. in Groton). Is that possible? Would they be back in our area at this time?
