A friend of mine was surprised to see an unusual bird at his feeder early this morning. He and his wife looked through their field guide and concluded it was a Yellow-headed Blackbird. It feasted for about 10-15 minutes before flying off.
This was at 70 Murfield Road. The feeder is at the back of the house and can probably be seen from Waterwagon or Ryan's Way.
I have asked them to call and take photos if it shows up again. -Paul -- Paul Anderson, VP of Engineering, GrammaTech, Inc. 531 Esty St., Ithaca, NY 14850 Tel: +1 607 273-7340 x118; http://www.grammatech.com -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
