Out of school today because of grading of state tests, Tilden joined me for a walk on the pink-blazed trail at Monkey Run South on Monday morning. He found a silent WINTER WREN - a life bird for him, and first sighting of the year for me - up where the trail runs along the lip of the ravine. We also saw an OSPREY flying over, as well as a flock of 4+ kinglets in a pine. Otherwise, it was very quiet.
