"The" yellow-throated vireo was singing at Lindsay-Parsons this morning, same
area as last year, by the next-to-last open area before the blue trail crossed
the woods to the railway tracks - as heard by our SFO group this morning,
although only seen poorly and briefly by one student (as a yellow warbler-like
bird).

Also seen was a lone kingbird, plus many of the LP specials: field sparrow,
many blue-winged warblers, chestnut-sided warbler, black-and-white warbler (at
least four individuals fighting over territory, giving great looks at their
agitated posturings). Prairie warblers were singing and seen by Mark Witmer's
group. Seems like there was a brown thrasher at every bend of the trail. Yellow
warblers everywhere, but only a couple of yellowthroats singing.

No hooded warbler at Celia's cup - they must be hanging out at Geo's? Other
highlights include flyby osprey, flyby green herons, and kestrel on the power
line by the parking area.
