I went to bed last night with my windows open, and at 11:40 I was surprised to hear an ovenbird's evening song -- a complicated melody reminiscent of winter wren with a few "teachers" thrown in. It kept me awake listening for more, but the bird did not sing again.
A group of at least three ravens seem to have claimed the Commonland territory as their own.
