Tilden suggested that our family take a short detour on our return from Buffalo on Sunday to allow his sister and especially his mom to see the Red-headed Woodpeckers along South May's Point Road in Montezuma NWR. We found both birds easily at around 4 PM in the stand of dead trees on the west side of the road.
