The White Pelican is best seen from Towpath Rd. I drove all the way to the dike , but didn't need to go that far. There are two islands of vegetation. It is sitting toward the dike end of the second island in full view. Van Dyne Spoor was a disappointment since it was full of canoeists which chased most birds away. The two Red Headed Woodpeckers were very busy bringing food back to the nest cavity today.
