According to the website, the start time is 7pm on Friday (location of your choice within the complex) and the end time is 7pm Saturday at the Montezuma Audubon Center. This is similar to recent years. Ending at midnight, then attending the tally got to be a bit extreme, especially for anyone driving home a fair distance afterward.

Hello All,

Just a reminder about this year's Montezuma NWR Muckrace/fjund raiser. This will take place from midnight Friday September 6 to Saturday September 7.

The Cayuga Bird Club once again offers to pay entry fees for up to three teams (comprised of bird club members, And it's never to late to join, just go to cayugabirdclub.org and you can pay the $15 annual dues by Paypal in no time).  Just get in touch with me and let me know you are interested in taking advantage of this.

I hope we can fill our quota of teams competing, having fun and raising money. See Steve Benedict's email below for deadlines and where to go for more information

Best,
Linda Orkin
President, Cayuga Bird Club

The Muckrace will be Sept 6-7.  Time to get your teams registered (check the website to get the form   http://friendsofmontezuma.org/muck_race.html#sthash.BXpK1tnz.dpbs  )

We set August 21st as a deadline if you want to be sure and get your Team name on the T shirt.

The Friends appreciate all your efforts to solicit donations... Paypal on the above website is again an option this year.

FYI, the observation deck, being built with funds donated at last year's Muckrace, on the Deep Muck site in the north end of the complex, is nearing completion, and will be another place to search for your species count.

Thanks,

Steve Benedict, member FOTMWC Muckrace Committee
