Brad Walker and I took a nice walk along the Jim Schug Trail from Dryden
Lake almost to the end at Willow Crossing. Highlights were a GREAT EGRET
along the lake shore near the south end, first on the far side in the
cattails then sitting right along the trail on some logs. Passerines were
abundant with lots of activity and a good variety of warblers, but nothing
too unusual. Two EASTERN SCREECH-OWLS responded to us and called for a long
time from a marshy area, a bit odd.
