Tessaglia-Hymes" <c...@cornell.edu<mailto:c...@cornell.edu>> Diane and I have been up late tonight listening to the live stream from the roof-top microphone. We were absolutely thrilled to hear a BARN OWL call four times in succession (about 10-20 seconds apart) as it flew directly overhead. Barn Owl is an extremely rare bird for Upstate New York. The attached file is the loudest call from this individual. [SEE: http://www.mail-archive.com/nfc-l@cornell.edu/msg01053.html] COOL!!! Good night listening! Sincerely, Chris T-H PS - A single Dickcissel called once early this morning (9/26) at 5:30am. That was also heard live, as I was listening to the thrush descent. -- Christopher T.
