Hi all,

As there was a discussion about posting rare birds to the list. So here is our
report. Gary Kohlenberg and I birded Hog's Hole only bird of special note was
the Nelson's Sparrow. The bird was seen in the goldenrod/phragmites and grass
community which is enclosed in the mowed path around the Hog's Hole, where it
is closest to the lake on the north-west side.

Here is the link, but habitat does not look anything like in the map, but over
grown with the above species.

All we had glimpses. As Gary put it, every time we looked at it we got an
additional feature to prove the identity of the bird. We could not for sure say
if it was interior type as for me bird looked darker, but who knows we do not
have a whole lot of experience with this species as I have seen a very few
individuals and we just got fraction of second views every time except once
when the bird flew for more than a second. It Is one of those "dive into grass
birds".

In case anyone else is on a lookout for it!

Cheers

Meena
