This afternoon at about 3:40pm a duo of ibises flew into the pond at the Montezuma NWR Visitor Center, likely the same 2 birds as have been seen at Benning Marsh since 17 Oct: one a dark, dull-bodied GLOSSY IBIS with a faint pale streaks at the top and bottom of the bare facial skin between the bill and dark eye, the other a green iridescent bodied WHITE-FACED IBIS with a red eye. They foraged in the grass at the edge of the pond almost directly across from the deck of the Visitor Center. Sorry I neglected to copy to this listserv when I sent my message to the new Cayuga RBA.
