It was a chilly lakewatch at Myers this morning - in the face of a SW breeze
(6:45 - 8:15). Given the wind direction, I did not expect much to be moving
(and was right). However, I was able to see a flock of 11 BLACK SCOTERS, a
single Brant, and a group of 3 Common Mergansers, all winging their way south
just above the water. In addition, there was another single Brant on the spit
with the hundreds of gulls and single Common and Red-throated Loons in the
water towards the far shore.
