Dave Nutter and I are just south of the Sheldrake Winery watching all three species of scoters. The Black Scoter is a female. Great comparisons. Also, Dave counted 46 Common Loons, there 2 Horned Grebes, and just before stopping here we saw a female Long-tailed Duck. At O'Malley's dock he had a high count of 83 (maybe a few more) Common Loons. Good birding,
