Hi all, I was working on my Peru sound recording list. When I came across the Junin Canestero song and its spectrogram I was stunned by the sheer beauty of the song and its energy distribution insSpectrogram. It seems like the sound opens up initially and then wrap around into a nice cylindrical curve. I am not good at explaining but you will see it when you click on the spectrogram of this songster.
At least two other birds were also singing and it was in response to these songs my bird was singing. I could not help but felt I want to share with you all this beautiful song and its visualization as a spectrogram, though the bird is not found in the basin. https://soundcloud.com/meena-haribal/junin-canestero Hope you will enjoy! As if just in time Mark Chao's beautiful description of Screech owl singing came through while I was typing this email. Thanks mark for sharing your experiences!
