A friend has need of a good tripod for an unusual camera rig that is off center and heavy. Below are their requirements and maybe some of you out there have suggestions for the tripod of ball head or actually have one or all the components they need.
thanks It should be sturdy enough to support 8 pounds. Have no more than three leg segments. Preferably made of carbon fiber. Magnesium structure would be ideal. The Manfrotto 190cx3 would be perfect. My rig requires a ball head camera mount with quick release that can handle a larger camera. I am considering the Manfrotto 054 magnesium ball head with Q2 quick release. -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
