Just returned from a walk down Dodge Rd and Stevenson Rd. I observed two RT Hawks mating on the top of a pole in the Game Farm pens. Both were adults, so this was not just juveniles acting up. I did not notice any prior courtship flight. Does this seem a little early for courtship and mating, which is supposed to start in mid-February?
