It just came to my attention that some people who tried to attend my talk at the Cayuga Bird Club meeting on Monday were turned away at the door. I appreciate the enthusiastic turnout, but I am sorry that some people went away disappointed.
The topic of my talk was the history of distance-learning opportunities presented by the Lab of Ornithology, and I gave a slightly shortened version of webinar 1 of our Waterfowl ID series. We are starting up the 5-part waterfowl series again next week. Next Tuesday, 18 March, we will present session 1, the essentials of waterfowl ID at 3 pm (eastern time) and a repeat again at 7 pm (eastern). I would like to offer a free seat in those webinars to anyone who missed my talk. Heck, that's too hard to keep track of. I am offering a free seat in one of those webinars to anyone on Cayugabirds-L who emails me and asks. Please write out the following so that I can find it to copy and paste easily: Your name: Your email address: Which session, 3 pm or 7 pm?
