Now near point/spit at Myers Park, Lansing. First saw beautiful N. Pintail male
sitting on ice edge in waters of Lans. Town Marina - he was leaning down with
his head & neck sideways, first in the water, then on the ice. He kept this
posture while trying to move a little.
The he flew about 50' away & landed near the driveway & just lay there pn his
side.
I tried to approach him and he flew again & landed on the ice in the swimming
cove. He lay on the ice as I tried walking towards him again& then flew again
to the spit part of the point.
He flew OK for those 50-100 feet distances. He was lying on the spit when I
left.
