I got my first-of-the-year usual walk along the Dryden Lake Trail this morning. Found 40 species, which is pretty good for this time of year, and included 15 types of waterfowl (listed below). The Trail is mostly soft with some icy spots which can be avoided. Lake is still ice-covered with open areas at both ends and the long pond and beaver-flooded area to the west. Streams are open.
