I listened to about 30 minutes till the rain became too loud. Swainson's
Thrushes were going continuously, some were very low. Several Grey Cheeked
thrushes, I think there were probably some Indigo Buntings or sparrows of some
sort, which seem to be coming in constantly too but not as frequent as
Swainson's . Then I also heard a Yellow-billed Cuckoo and a Black-billed
cuckoo. Coyotes howling in a distant. Then there were some birds, which sounded
familiar but I cant place them. When rain approached the birds seemed to have
come lower down.
Right when I started listening there was a train which was passing Ithaca
downtown so kept honking every few seconds for at least 10 minutes and there
were so many cars passing by even at this time of the day. But in spite of all
that I enjoyed listening to the birds overhead. I did get some recordings of
some very low flying birds.

It is such a fun while waiting copying 83.4 G of photos to passport drive!

Cheers
Meena

Subject: [cayugabirds-l] Thrush flight

There is an insane number of thrushes passing over Northeast Ithaca right now-
my biggest spring flight I think. Over 80 Swainsons and 30 Gray-cheeked in the
first 20 minutes if listening.
