There was one almost all white SNOWY OWL on a bare patch of field on the north side of Yale Farm Rd. (Varick/Romulus) just east of McGrane Rd. around 6pm today. Two WILD TURKEYS were within view of the owl, stumbling through the snow.
I didn't see the more darkly colored owl (which is often in the same area) today but I didn't look very hard. There has also been a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK on Yale Farm Rd. just to the west of McGrane Rd (last Weds and Fri on a telephone pole by the road ~5pm), but not today.
