I know it is not that exciting for most of you - but I just noticed a Grackle
carrying nest material into one of the conifers next to the house. I’ve had
them raising young (and recorded the juvenile begging calls) in past years. But
this is the first time I have noticed a nest site. I’m looking forward to
checking on progress.

And Eastern Towhees - are back, adding their songs to the broadening dawn
chorus.
